Draw a useful boundary
Identify where entry should trigger review, which direction matters and whether schedules change the rule. Avoid making the zone so broad that normal activity repeatedly creates alerts. Review the setup with the people who operate the site.
Test ordinary activity as well as incidents
Include deliveries, authorized staff, changing light, obstructions and activity near the edge of the camera view. Record nuisance alerts and missed crossings. Review day and night conditions rather than accepting one successful staged test.
Agree the response
Define who receives an event, how they check the source footage and what happens if they do not acknowledge it. Test notification delivery and the fallback process. Detection alone does not secure an entrance or summon emergency services.
A common question
Can I set different rules outside business hours?+
Time-based rules can be evaluated as part of the deployment scope. Confirm the available scheduling and integration features during project planning.
