VEHICLE & ANPR

A clearer view of every arrival.

Automatic number plate recognition begins with a readable image of the plate. For a Karachi warehouse gate or a business car park, plan the capture point, vehicle movement and exception-handling process together.

01 · PROJECT PLANNING

Start at the capture point

A general overview camera may show the vehicle while leaving too little detail to read its plate. Assess the actual lane, approach angle, light and vehicle speed before selecting equipment. Test the intended camera view with vehicles using the entrance normally.

02 · PROJECT PLANNING

Check the reading, then the decision

Evaluate the plate formats you expect, including representative Pakistani registrations. Review OCR text against the source image. Track unreadable plates separately from incorrect reads, and define what a guard should do when a result is uncertain.

03 · PROJECT PLANNING

Scope the access integration

Plate recognition and opening a barrier are different parts of the system. Agree authorization lists, manual overrides, logging and the behavior during camera or network failure. Demonstration output does not grant access or validate a person’s identity.

A common question

Will ANPR read every plate?+

No. Dirt, glare, motion, obstructions, plate format and image detail can affect reading. Agree acceptance criteria using representative vehicles before a rollout.
