Planning guide by Elpidaa Advanced Technologies, Karachi.
How much does industrial CCTV analytics cost?
Elpidaa quotes against the site and workflow rather than publishing a universal per-camera price. A factory PPE checkpoint, warehouse gate and perimeter boundary have different capture and response requirements. Share the city, camera and recorder models, approximate camera count and the event to review. A useful proposal identifies what can be reused, what needs changing and which charges recur. This guide helps compare scope; it is not a price list or binding quotation.
Separate installed cameras from analytics channels
An installed camera is not automatically an analytics channel. For example, a warehouse with 20 cameras might begin by evaluating one vehicle lane and two restricted-area views. This is an illustrative scope, not an Elpidaa customer result. Ask the supplier to list the three selected views, required streams and rules, then price expansion separately. Record whether licensing is per channel, per device, per site or subscription, and whether a spare or replacement camera changes the charge.
Compare factory checkpoints and warehouse gates
For visible PPE, specify the helmet or clothing to review, checkpoint, distance, shift lighting and responsible supervisor. For ANPR, specify each lane, vehicle direction, capture position and whether the project includes a vehicle log or barrier control. Perimeter monitoring needs defined boundaries, active hours and permitted movement. Price camera positioning, lighting or mounting changes alongside the software. A general yard view and a plate-capture view serve different purposes.
Request one-time and recurring costs separately
A complete quotation should identify capture-camera changes, processing hardware, storage if included, analytics licences, integrations, cabling, installation, training and acceptance testing. Separate recurring software, support, hosting where applicable and replacement responsibilities. Specify currency, tax treatment, quote validity, payment stages and what is excluded. Confirm whether an initial survey or pilot is chargeable, whether its cost is credited to rollout, and what is delivered if the pilot does not meet the agreed criteria.
Make location and support part of the scope
Elpidaa is based in Karachi and serves major Pakistan cities, especially Punjab. For Lahore, Faisalabad, Gujranwala, Sialkot, Multan or Rawalpindi, agree survey travel, site access, installation resources and handover before scheduling work. Identify support hours, remote-access permissions, escalation contacts and any separately charged visits. Confirm the same arrangements for other cities. A location page is a starting point for an enquiry, not evidence of a staffed local branch.
Compare proposals using the same acceptance test
Give each supplier the same event rule and representative conditions. Agree a labelled reference set, false-alert workload, missed events and how uncertain views are recorded. For a gate, test unreadable plates and manual override; for a factory, include occluded PPE views and shift changes. Confirm camera-loss notifications, recovery and operator training. Use Elpidaa’s pilot evaluation worksheet to document the method rather than comparing unsupported accuracy percentages.
Use the quotation worksheet before requesting a proposal
Download the blank CSV checklist and enter the proposed quantity, one-time charge, recurring charge, exclusions and acceptance evidence for each scope item. Keep unknown amounts blank rather than treating them as zero. Compare the same currency, tax basis and support period. The worksheet is an original planning resource from Elpidaa; it may be reused with attribution to this guide. Bring the completed scope or a project brief to the team to discuss the next step.
